What kind of snake looks like a speckled kingsnake but is green and yellow instead of black and yellow?

I live in Arkansas, my mom was taking out her dirt from this cement flower box when out came two pregnant brown lizard-like animals....anyway then there was an approx. 3 ft. snake that looks like a speckled kingsnake but not black...it is like a dark lime-green, that came out of the dirt somewhat later. It has 3 horizontal lines on the top of its head, and it seemed to vibrate it's tail somewhat. What kind is this, is it poisonous/dangerous, and how can we get rid of it and the lizards? It's kind of hard to plant flowers with creatures popping in and out of your dirt....

A LOT of Speckled Kings ARE greenish in color, especially while young(and a three-footer isn't very old), so that is almost certainly what it was. Nearly all snakes vibrate their tails when they feel threatened, so the snake was simply letting you know that it was scared and wanted to be left alone. No venomous snake in North America even comes close to matching your description, so there are no worries there. The two "pregnant"(how do you know that?)lizard-like animals were most likely skinks, which ARE lizards. Both snakes and lizards lay eggs in the sort of soil that is used for potting plants, plus both need shade to cool off, so either could have been the reason that they were there. Neither of these animals can hurt you, and both ARE in fact beneficial. Skinks eat insects, especially the sort that eat flowers, and Kingsnakes eat rodents and other snakes, including venomous ones. If you have a garden, there are always going to "creatures popping in and out of your dirt", so to speak, and it's better to have these creatures be things that are helpful to you and cannot hurt you!
Reply:You know, you really should give Iowa a try.
Reply:i had a pacific gopher snake they shake there tail
Reply:If it was vibrating it's tail it means it wants left alone. A lot of snakes will do this to create a rattling sound when in amongst dead leaves etc. so that you think it is a rattlesnake.

Also try this link as some Speckled Kingsnakes do look greenish in colour.
