Did you ever buy a cactus from Walmart?

and did you notice that some of the flowers are hot-glued on? I have one that has a big red papery thin flower and I was in line at Walmart getting ready to buy one with a neon green flower on and clumsy me dropped it and pop-the flowers came off and when I looked they were attached with glue! I went home to check out my cactus and it's flower was glued as well! I was kinda upset at how Walmart tried tricking me. Did any of you notice this?

Yep I noticed but not until after I had it for quite some time, made me feel like an idiot. Actually a co-worker pointed it out to me after noticing her Wal-Mart cactus had glued on flowers. I've now had the cactus for about 2 years and the flowers look just as good as they did the day I bought it although now most of them are just sitting in the cactus since they fell off.
Reply:They got me too! You wonder how companies get away with this scam. But I still buy from them duh!
Reply:IMHO, Wal-Mart represents everything wrong with the American consumer. 20 years ago, I bought a comforter there. It's blue dye would rub off on me while I slept.





That's right. I would wake up, dyed blue from head to toe. I washed it several times to get rid of the exess dye, but to no avail. Every morning, I was literally blue. I haven't shopped there since.





Wal-Mart's prices are so low because you get what you pay for. If we accept this by continually shopping there, we are saying that it's ok to pass this trash off on us.

Reply:Yes I bought a flowered cactus there a few years ago, it was a nice plant, but of course I could kill anything at 16 yrs old. LOL!
